Nose Job: Fitting the nose to the chassis

Post by bgkast » 23 Dec 2014, 10:44

I'm in the process of starting to fit the nose to the chassis and have not found any measurements on how it should sit. I know that it isn't dimension critical, and that builders can mounting height and angle may vary from car to car, but thought it might be beneficial to have a baseline to start with.

So far I have been using photos from the build diary and book for placement.

Currently I have my nose notched back from the trailing edge about 3.75 inches and up from the bottom edge 2 inches. The fit is getting close, but it still needs some tweaking. (sorry for the blurry picture)

I will post additional measurements as I finalize the fitment.
