Does the turbo work well on the track or does it start to heat soak after some period of time? I know you weren't going for long because of the fuel filter, but I'm curious.

I'm not sure what you mean by heat-soak; what are the symptoms?

In my opinion, the GT3071 is just the right size for the Honda K24. On the street, the car cruises at about 2700 rpm, below the 3000 rpm spool-up, so mileage is good (~32 mpg). And once in boost, the engine just acts like a larger engine. So far I haven't noticed any of the "rubber band effect" that some turbo setups have. Will have to wait and see whether it's an issue this weekend at the autocross practice.

Well, I don't really know what I'm talking about, but I read on the "reliable" internet that FI is great for drag strips, but maybe not for track use where you can be driving hard for much more than 10 seconds at a time. I think heat soak relates more to the IAT going too high because of intercoolers not able to keep up with a high load for a long time resulting in lowered power. An example here: http://www.benzboost.com/content.php?3752-The-effect-of-heat-soak-on-BMW-M-s-turbo-motors-(S63TU)-large-power-loss-F10-M5-back-to-back-dyno-pull-testing-by-Evolve-Automotive

Ah, okay. If I remember, I'll have the logger running and we'll see what IAT gets up to.
