Virginia City Hill Climb

Post by Midlana1 » 25 Mar 2019, 12:18

It's not until September of this year, but registration just opened and my brother's pushing hard for me to go. While I have mixed feelings about pushing one's limits up a twisty hill, I think I'm going to sign up. No one's pushing me out of my comfort zone, and the overall trip should be a lot of fun, and gives a chance to get a picture of Midlana on the edge of Lake Tahoe.

You should definitely go. A few years ago I was attending regular motorcycle track days and a lot of family and friends were concerned about the risk. During that time I read something written by a fellow attendee that was very fitting for how I felt about my time spent on the track.

“I live more during one lap at speed on the track than most people live in their whole lives”

I'm signed up. It's going to be an expensive trip, between entry fees, meals, gas, trailer rental, and a room, which I'll be sharing with my brother. Who snores. Loud.

First-world problems.
