Small Mazda FWD V6s

Which drivetrain to choose, so many choices, 4-cyl? 6-cyl? NA? Turbo?

I completely forgot about Mazda's two small displacement V6 drivetrains, a 1.8 L and a 2.5 L. Fantastic things can be done with them.

Yes the Mazda KLZE or KLDE (export or JDM) is light, tiny and powerful. There are a lot of conversion stories out there with bike throttle bodies. A standard 2.5 JDM is 200HP anyway. The 1.8 is the same size as the 2.5 and 2.0. Here's a link to one (1.8, throttle bodies)

There is a thriving engine swap for these into Mazda MX5 Miatas - though in a transverse position in the Midlana you would avoid having to adapt a gearbox.
