TPMS Tire pressure and temperature monitoring

Easy to mount 4 sensors with small LCD readout prices about 175+ $

I'm surprised that I haven't found it mentioned on different locost/replica forums and I think it could be very useful for track use and as well for daily as these systems are obligatory for all new cars (for long in US and from now on in EU)

[Edidt] ups, I wanted to post it in 'needed parts' not here in 'body mods', you can move it Kurt, right?[/Edit]

I understand the thinking behind these systems from the gummint's piont of view (my '09 Cooper S has it) I think most folks who track their cars already check their tire pressures pretty religiously, especially if they're at an event.

Still, I guess you can't have too much information!

Edit: went to the site and looked it over, that thing's pretty cool! I agree that for track use that could definitely be an asset. Interesting to see the comments about pressure change from having only 1 wheel in the sun when parked under the awning and so on.....simple install too since the sensors simply screw onto the stems where the valve caps would go.

Interesting....

I agree that when driving I would never check it unless sth. wrong is going on and you can set some alarm ranges.
And for development and setup tuning you can get co-pilot beside you to readout things.
Of course there are some more professional models with data logging/sending options but...
But these (I've posted links) are simple but give you exact information not as most factory systems that detect only if there is something wrong there and you must yourself find what and where.

Funny thing with TPMS is that I found discussions how to go around factory system in Z06 as during track days they could put whole car in 'drive home 50mph limit' mode because of out of range tire pressures readouts

As long as it was an easily readable, real time display I can see how it would be usable.
